2 weeks ago my little account got taken down for being spammy/fake/inauthentic… I appealed but got no answer and was locked out.
Last night I accused them of voluntary discrimination (from a different email address), and this morning I have access again so… 🤷♀️

It’s a French-language book about #zeroWaste #garmentSewing by @reformonsnous.com, and I love everything about it: the colors, the diverse models, the designs, the cutting layouts, the wordplay…
Will take it slowly and start planning my first piece!

This is the #noviceSweater by Petite Knit, made in sizes XS/S.
I used black superwash merino from a frogged (abandoned) project, held together with a strand of silk mohair.
Collar modified to a turtleneck, and body/sleeves knitted shorter to account for superwash growth.

Hand-mended socks 😊
Work in (very slow) progress, mending with Swiss darning / duplicate stitch.
I made these 2 years ago and kept some of the yarn for mending (the mended gauge is looser so looks bigger).

Last time I graded larger hip to smaller waist + added buttonhole elastic to the back of the waistband.
This time I'll also add the buttonhole elastic, but try the straight size for my hip (first time ever, so we'll see).

Really not looking forward to the fitting part though – I hate the process but I need adjustments on all sewing patterns.

I knitted this slightly shorter on purpose, because apparently superwash yarn grows instead of shrinking.
But despite my washed/dried swatch, I was a bit worried that the silk mohair might somehow make it shrink instead!
All good so far, it grew 5cm longer.

I’m Hinerangi, I like making things and sharing my progress (especially mistakes and failures along the way).
Currently knitting a new Novice Sweater in black merino with a strand of silk mohair. Went figuratively bald doing that sleeve underarm without gaps 😅
