Good point, well made. I also saw Suzi Quatro same year and Geordie featuring a youthful(ish) Brian Johnson

What a coincidence - saw the Pistols in 1977 (Doncaster) and Nico in 1981 (Sheffield Marples). I didn’t see the Sweet but did see Mud at Barnsley Civic also 1974 😉

Search for Archives vol 4 - All the good stuff is there 👍

They’re on youtube. There’s also a version of Coyote that goes into Don Juan’s Reckless Daughter that is wonderful. I think they’re all part of the Archive series

Oh yeah. Have you heard the Hejira demos? I think there was a record store day release a couple of years ago. Amazing. Demos. Her voice is just amazing.

I can’t find any fault with Hejira. Nothing
November 22, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Yeah agreed but Hejira just does it for me. Harry’s House is a weird one - it might be one of my favourite Joni things but when it segues into Centerpiece (in a pretty clunky way) it loses something.

Me too until I saw someone else submit it 😉

Interesting that it’s your favourite ambient album. It’s my second favourite to Airports but I have to admit it’s gaining ground. I probably play this more than Airports these days. X

Wonderful stuff. This one really resonated with me. You know how much I love this album. I think we both arrived at it independently at a similar time. Although Green is slightly ‘busier’ than his other work it is still the simplicity and beauty of it that makes it so special. Amazing stuff.

Looking at that I think you’re in need of units 1-5 😉
November 15, 2025 at 1:49 PM
Have you got the original demos on CDR?

No you haven’t 😉

I was into Franc-Parler during their Units 1-5 period 🤷‍♂️

It’s fantastic. The thing he did with Weyes Blood (Story of Blood) was brilliant too.

Played that myself today. Still wonderful. Fripp’s solo on St Elmo’s Fire is one of the greatest bits of playing ever.

They had a thin white sheet across the front of the stage, a large screen at the back and the band between the two. Projecting different visuals onto each surface with the band in silhouette. It was outstanding.
