The Supreme Court case tomorrow is fundamentally not about gender affirming care, it's about whether or not trans people have any protections under the 14th amendment. A loss in this case would greenlight a torrent of explicitly discriminatory legislation without much, if any judicial recourse.

4,000 embryos and 1,000 fertilization samples were killed by Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, with a direct attack on the embryo laboratory at an IVF center. This damaged the samples, wiping out the dreams and hopes of hundreds of families to have children.

YES!!! Word choice matters. This is a genocide. It is ethnic cleansing. It is apartheid. Israel is a colonizer. Hamas is a resistance organization. It is legal to resist occupation.

Alt text needs to convey what is in the image but how flowery or detailed should you be?

Generally, the description needs to match the importance of the image. If the focus of the post is the image, give it a detailed description. If it's just decorative, write that.

Do you like 1) a color-coordinated tree or 2) one with all different ornaments? My daughter is in camp #1 and currently controls the tree decorating. I’m firmly in camp #2 and prefer to hang a hodgepodge of ornaments that I’ve collected over the years. I love the memories they evoke. How about you?

My daughter lives in Middelburg, Zeeland in the Netherlands. She gets to witness gorgeous sunrises on a regular basis. I am envious. ❤️

Winter is here. The cats are too cold to stay out on the patio and I actually have to use the hot water since the “cold” water is no longer sufficiently warmed by the sun. I’ve also broken out my long-sleeved shirts. 😂
