I think Burger’s team control is an illusion. Front offices don’t value his general profile (right-right first basemen in general, but especially those nearing 30s with below-average strikeout and walk rates). I think he’ll be viewed as a perpetual non-tender candidate once he reaches arb.

This applies to just about every sport: Officials are over-officiating these days. Stop calling every little thing, you shouldn’t have an actual impact on the game. Just be there to call the obvious and egregious things

I get that it’ll be correctly overturned to a touchdown, but never in the history of the sport would any ref call that a touchdown without replay review. I feel like that makes it a bad rule
