Lots of integrative plasmids are linear. Streptomyces Ecoli shuttle plasmids (circular, often low cooy) allow cloning in Ecoli before moving into Streptomyces

Yeah, integrating plasmids can be quite big indeed. If they contain a Tra element than they can be conjugated. This sometimes needs Ecoli strain changeover if host has a methylated DNA restriction system. Plasmids without conjugative element can be moved into Streptomyces via protoplasting
