Family doc. Farm wife. Mama. Mostly complaining about the stupidity of our healthcare system. She/her #medsky
One of the husband’s favorites. With a yard full of chickens I didn’t have an excuse not to.

Ooh. I like this idea

This was mine. My first. So good.

Thanks. I’ve been waiting for these.

Batter? Is that better?

Probably for the best.

Personally hoping it’s the end of the misfortune, but… I know me.

Have already cut my thumb on the mandolin. 😬

Cornbread is the norm here. Not corn meal. But you add enough broth that it breaks down into a slurry before you bake it and it loses all semblance of cubes before cooking.

It’s a regional thing. Some claim that the difference is in whether it’s in the bird or not. There are much bigger differences than that.

Stuffing is soggy bread. Dressing has more the texture of like a baked grits dish. Semi-homogeneous. Not cubes. Not soggy. Lots of flavor throughout.

They are not the same. Not even close.

No suggestions needed, thanks.

Right now it’s just an annoyingly runny nose. It may not get much worse since I have had my vaccine.

It is. My husband tested positive Monday. Mom did last night. We’ve been doing our best to keep everyone separate. Hubs has been mostly shut in the bedroom. I’ve worn an N95 to take him food. But I think I was probably exposed before we realized he had it.

FWIW, I don’t celebrate pilgrims-and-Indians Thanksgiving. We’re not whitewashing history. And I know it’s impossible to fully separate the two, but the idea of a day spent with the people you love in gratitude for them is a good thing. And also, there’s dressing.

Awww. This makes me smile.

90% chance we see a pooping dog pic before the night is over.

Just finding people to fill the job vacancies they created will take months to years. Re-building institutions they destroyed will take much longer.
