This observation is really very specific to a subset of writers. Which is absolutely a nice thing to have in common with other people *but a terrible way to distinguish humans from robots.*

Accommodations should always* be put in place with the expectation that they can/should be usable by everyone. This makes them more sustainable in the long term, ensures they're better maintained, reduces stigma, etc.
