We wanted to go deeper on why people were worried about AI, so we asked respondents to answer in their own words: “In what ways do you think Artificial Intelligence is unsafe?” The responses clustered into 11 core ideas, including hallucination, misuse, and lack of regulation. (7/)

An encouraging finding is that the most frequent AI users are overwhelmingly positive about the technology. Among people who use AI daily in their personal lives, 72% say that AI is a good technology, and only 12% say it is bad. However, this is only 6% of users. (5/)

Trump's announcement of tariffs on April 2 is subtly but clearly driving down his job approval rating. The trend is being led by Independents who have gone from -10 to -15 net approval in the last week.

Another significant trend is among Hispanic/Latino voters, who have gone from net +9 favorable views of the Democratic Party in 2015 to net unfavorable by 20 points in 2025. (3/3)

On abortion, Ohio and Wisconsin stand out in @civiqs.bsky.social tracking of voters' dissatisfaction with their state's policies being too restrictive.

Ohio just passed Issue 1. Wisconsin recently resumed abortion access for the first time since Roe was overturned in June 2022.

Favorables for Mike Pence nosedived among Republicans after Jan 6. Since May, his unfavorable rating among Republicans went up 20 points from 41% to 61%. Not a recipe for winning a GOP primary. @civiqs.bsky.social

There's been a big division among Democrats over the past few years, between older Dems who have become more internationalist, and younger Dems who have remained isolationist.
