Towards the end of last year, after 18yrs working in HE, I started a new role in a research institute - in a role which is both internal and external facing and I'm loving it.
Stepping back (from the bureaucracy of HE and all that goes with it) and reviewing the landscape has been so refreshing.

My year in trains (actually two years) but apparently 12403 miles on a train! Considering I worked two days in the office for most of that time, quite a lot of train!!
