I really wish some of the European alternatives would catch up. Currently I just don’t think they have the funding or scalability but I’d happily defer to someone who knew more about this kind of thing.

Prohibition has historically of course been oh so successful and changing behaviour and not at all just criminalising something that will continue anyway.

In a million years I’ll never understand why they thought he was a good idea. I know there’s endless and very credible talk of corruption and kompromat but the short sightedness is genuinely baffling.

Perhaps but I think humans are just quite violent. If anything we’re less violent these days than we used to be. We just need to be more organised and less daft. Which um, [quickly sifts through human history] well. Yeah
