Why I gave directly to our local food bank.
I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.

A simple fact. Ashamed our government leaders have allied the United States with Russia. Damn shame.

Trust me that you want avoid getting shingles. Lowering your risk of dementia is just icing on the cake.
If avoiding a painful and disfiguring rash - and potentially permanent nerve pain and nerve damage - isn’t enough for you, multiple studies have also shown that shingles vaccination can lower dementia risk, possibly up to 20%

I know some badass Women Surgeons. Plus I think they have improved the culture in this specialty immensely. So all I can say is “You Go Girls!”
The pilot data is very convincing; almost all the women have been told they can't be a surgeon due to their gender, while none- none!- of the men have.

I have never seen an actual case. But given the growing resistance to vaccines, I expect more horses are not being vaccinated, creating a reservoir for spill over to people.
