Alice Wong was one of the few who actually left the world better than when she entered it. A lot of the obituaries are leaving out her work on Covid, her advocacy around masking, and her work on eSims for Gaza. I tried to capture some of that in a post on IG.

Take it from someone with a store in an affluent location and one in a working class, immigrant community... the poorer community will use whatever means they have at their disposal to keep your small business alive. Give them the resources and your store and community will be alive.
I hope everyone in the comics industry realizes that when SNAP benefits end, people will buy fewer comics, which will affect every single person in the business.
If you love comics, please never, ever, ever vote for a Republican.
Also give to your local food bank/mutual aid group if you can.

Unfortunately, the tool for turning off Gen AI recommendations on Pinterest is extremely flawed. I did some tests back in June because I was being interviewed for an article. Today, I typed in the same search prompts as I did in June and found just as many AI images and even some new, more mangled
