Chrys and Ulan ended up loving Digimon and immediately gushed at finding these goggles. Although Chrys doesn't need them when she turns into lightning, she liked being the cool older sister.

Chrys and Lorelei go way back so Chrys usually ends up taking care of some the grandkids when Lor's too busy running an Irish empire.

Panels I really liked from last night's stream. I've been working on a backstory animatic for our #TTRPG campaign #RebelX

The other players were drip fed bits of Chrys's lore since she had a lot of trouble trusting the team. All they knew was that a mysterious girl haunted Chrys to this day.
Chrys, dressed in boys' attire from the 1920s (button up dress shirt, suspenders and trousers) leans against the wall, gently smiling to herself as while she watches an offscreen girl in a knee length blue dress, singing and dancing wistfully. The girl in a dress is reflected in a large wall mirror for the viewer and doesn't seem to notice Chrys's entrance. New panel, continuing from the previous sho. When the girl in blue notices Chrys, her face lights up at the sight of her friend. Chrys blushes in surprise, still leaning against the wall at being caught staring. Side waist up shot of the Chrys and the girl in blue. Chrys nervously fumbles with her words, avoiding eye contact with the girl. The Girl has her arms crossed, slightly amused at her friend's shy demeanor. Side shot of Chrys and the girl in blue. A "lost in thought" sort of day
Chrys stopped at the top of the hill. Behind her, thin columns of smoke wafted from the nearby village with Lorelai's family castle nestled along the ridge of the mountain, barely larger than her thumbnail from this distance. It was tempting to know what Ghost Dad and Lor could be talking about, but it was probably nothing but business. Weapon supply lines were moved to X country. Wolverine got into it with Y. That guy was always pissing off someone. Mercenary drama was boring at best and there were better ways to spend a couple of hours. Such as finding the "cows with glorious hair". While their silliness could entertain Ulan for only so long, she also ran out of steam pretty quickly. Chrys peeked inside her shirt pocket and soft snores greeted her. She did her best to keep her torso level before slowly settling into the soft grass. The breeze conducted the field's blades into a gentle chorus. It was nice. Peaceful even. But it had been awhile since Chrys had been alone and there was little to fill the space other than her thoughts.

Sketches of Chrys, the "youngest" member of the RebelX, our 90s Xmen ttrpg campaign. She's a scrawny blonde kid sporting a punk shredded vest, cropped purple and yellow hoodie, and light rolled up jeans. But her iconic items are her purple and white goggles and converse. Notably, she wields a beat up wooden bat even though it has nothing to do with her power set. Being more delinquent than heroic, Chrys didn't choose to be part of the Xmen, they just needed her dad's skill set.

Ulan comes from an alien race that can really only eat sugar, so as a compromise they eat a lot of Pizza Hut. Top tier regular and dessert pizza in the 90s~

After a rather discouraging mission, the young Xmen were on their way back home. Chrys slid into a seat next to Goyle, avoiding eye contact with her teammate. Chrys had just informed everyone that, on behalf of the team, she rejected the mutant cult's offer to "cure" them of their flaws. She suspected that it would be some kind of monkey's paw. Goyle was clearly hurt by lack of choice in the matter. When pressed by Ulan, she explained that it would have been nice to look normal again and not be a freak. Her purple skin flushed as she gripped her forearms. She was unable to fully cross her arms due to the bat-like boning that protruded from them. Chrys empathized with Goyle, with a dusty memory rearing its ugly head. The pain of that day was so far in the past, but it felt just as fresh. Chrys opened up about how people will always find a way to ostracize others. Ethnicities, ideologies, the people you love... These were only a handful excuses given to exact unspeakable cruelty on others. Why should we have to change for their comfort when we haven't hurt anyone? Despite this, Goyle's mood worsened. The pep talk was not going well. Chrys didn't want to minimize any of Goyle's feelings, she just wanted to connect with them. But she also knew that wasn't good at this kind of stuff. It's only been her and Ulan for a really, really long time. Chrys ended with a simple statement. "You're amazing as you are, so don't let anyone tell you otherwise." Ulan chimed in, "I think Goyle's super pretty!" Chrys felt her chest tighten as she quietly agreed, "She is." Amidst the discussion happening around him, James only thought of one thing. "Is that pink thing a drone...?" Surely he was being punked right now. Superheroes, mutants, powers... these were all just fictional terms from comics. He only grew more suspicious as he stared at tiny Ulan on Goyle's shoulder.
