Breaking news: A federal judge is giving Florida 60 days to clear out the immigrant detention facility called Alligator Alcatraz. The ruling forbids state officials from moving any other migrants there.

As part of the last cohort of SAPIENS fellows, it’s very sad to see the magazine shut down. Especially thinking about the incredible team behind it that is likely out of a job. Their commitment to the public dissemination of our work as anthropologists is crucial.
