Ethics is complicated, and when one is presented with a choice, it can be tricky to decide which is the lesser of two sets of evils.

I'd argue that it gets easier when one set of evils is a strict superset of the other set of evils, and indeed repeatedly brags that it is such in its brochures.

I, for one, am impressed that Trump is, for once, actually getting close enough to accurately relating the gist of the Bible to count as genuinely hypocritical about it. He's almost like a real politician.
Trump: The bible tells us that one of the measures of any society is how it cares for vulnerable children and orphans—so important and so big in the bible.

"[P]rotesters who assaulted police [in] 2020 [and] those who stormed the Capitol in January 2021 [...] Both groups believed they were redressing an injustice—one racial, one electoral—that too many others wouldn’t acknowledge."

Ah, but one injustice was real.
The Left’s New Moralism Will Backfire
Under Trump, progressives have embraced the rhetoric of “moral clarity.” It won’t help their cause.

I wonder if this fresh head injury will turn Fetterman back into a Democrat, like when Fred Flintstone's bowling ball rolls off the shelf and clonks him on the head.

If, between bouts of strangulation, his assassin gave him even a moment of breath, I can only imagine that Epstein grinned widely and tried to either bribe or blackmail him.

Back when he died, I knew nothing of Jeffrey Epstein or his personality, of the myriad embarrassing connections he had to the powerful, so I thought it was at least plausible that a wealthy man might kill himself when he ended up in prison.

But now? There's no way this smug prick offed himself.

Schumer absolutely wanted this outcome, despite his “vote.” It’s so obvious that he cherry-picked members who were retiring and/or not up for re-election to “take the hit.” #maddow

@hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social just re-upped his endorsement of Chuck Schumer as Senate minority leader, answering the questions "Is he effective?" and "Should he remain leader?" with "Yes and yes."

The thing is, Mr. Jefferies, you're not effective and you shouldn't remain leader either.
Last night, eight Democrats broke ranks and voted with Republicans to end the government shut down.

As a result, a “civil war” is breaking out in the Democratic Party, Jack Blanchard says.

Do not give the democratic party a dime of your money until Schumer is ousted or steps down.
The model of holding individual senators responsible is broken here. The retirees clearly agreed to take the fall. Which is why the nos should get no credit for voting no unless they move to oust Schumer

@shaheen.senate.gov

Either Jeanne Shaheen is an idiot, or she thinks her constituents are, or both.

But it's important to remember that's she's just taking the fall for the Senate Dem caucus at large. Every Democratic senator is suspect unless and until they publicly call for Schumer's ouster.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"
