Very prescient of them. The trail has already been laid in the Humanities with @timothysnyder.bsky.social, @marcishore.bsky.social and Jason Stanley leaving Yale for the Univrsity of Toronto. The leadng experts on authoritarianism (and a lot else besides) leaving not just the USA but Yale says much

So Hungary can still veto Ukraine’s accession. With regard to the €40 billion in military aid Ms Kallas is trying to base this on voluntary contributions so it avoids any vetos.

If only this were true, The argument was over a message of support for Ukraine which does not require unanimity. A joint statement cam be attached as an annexe to a resolution to which all have agreed. This ONLY applies to statements without legally binding commitments.
