photos and imagery. mostly.

They speak quietly,
Obscure but not riddles,
Sound without voice,
In meter without rhyme,
ripples of mind
this is something i wrote trying to pull myself out of a dark spot.

writing and getting stuff out there helped me. i've been advised to don't feel bad about pushing it out there. people can figure out for themselves if they can hold it.

for many people (including me) - and I don’t want to be interpreted as defending this behavior, just acknowledging it - that one thing that bugs you *is* a chronic problem, because you struggle to move past it.

being okay with it is healthier. i have a long history of people-pleasing that has been something i’ve been trying to work on. the people who would do this are just not great people for me to interact with, and it’s just as well if they remind me of it.

It occurs to me that I’d really like to see an analysis here, where we fit experience to *successful* AI deployment. ” because one of the biggest concerns I have is that the ai code gets stuck on the easy stuff, and we’ll find it becomes less useful as people try to get more out of it.

At the very least, it’s worth reflecting on whether any approaches are based on observing actual behavior, and whether they have incorporated a reality where may millions of people have made these tools a daily habit, even if we know that is one that is artificially subsidized right now.

I drew this silly chart early on in my own look at LLMs. I stand by it to this day. More so, even, as the bubble cast a stronger shadow over the AI ecosystem.

LLMs have some very good uses. I've found them helpful for gathering my own thoughts and brainstorming the book I've been working on. But the metacognition to understand what they can and can't do is uncommon. I wonder a bit if it's similar to systems metacognition, techies seem to "get" it more.
