Designed and #3dprinted this clip with a spring mechanism to enhance its grip strength. Printed this model with and without the spring and I find it really interesting to see how well this simple spring mechanism works. Will upload this to model as soon as I find the time

Designing a window bird feeder 🐦 using #freecad. Currently printing and waiting for the result. Designed to place on any window using three suction cups.

Downside: Uses 200g of #filament which is quite a lot. Might need to reconsider the design.

Designing an Apple charger and cable organizer. Plug your charger in and step two is cable management on the side of the charger holder. Intended use is if you have to store it neatly e.g. when traveling and smushing stuff tightly into your backpack (with pressure :D)

Designed a three piece filament spool holder that you can just clamp to your table. Will print and refine tomorrow, but the basic idea is this. Like the little stopper at the end so the spool won’t come off.

Working on a battery case in #freecad that can hold six AA batteries. Printed this prototype and I like the dimensions of it, feels quite fitting. Will add some bells and whistles and who knows, maybe publish it? We'll see 😊

Just starting out with #freecad and it's way too powerful, feels nearly impossible to be open source. Love that people build such complex software and just put it out there for others to use. Thanks so much @freecad.bsky.social! Awesome work

Built a coffee counter ☕️ automation for #homeassistant. It recognizes when the smart plug uses more than 1200 Watts of power for more than a few seconds. Curious to know how much coffee runs through my machine at home throughout a full year haha

Soldered my very first circuit board ⚡️ I deliberately do not show the back. Those are two soil moisture sensors connected to an #esp32. Next step is finding a case and mount it onto a flower pot. Also: Turns out GPIO25 can't be used as analog read when WiFi is on. Had to resolder like a true #maker

Went #paddleboarding yesterday. It was very cold but also very refreshing. The fog combined with the icy trees creates a magical atmosphere. Love this hobby. Cold weather adds a certain something to it.

TIL about #cursor IDE. Besides the surprisingly well working #ai #coding assistance, crafting terminal commands is where it helps me the most. Just say what you would like to do and done. Most of the time it works as is.

Is use this a lot for altering #statamic content e.g. when a blueprint changes
