I am going to have to disagree - I'm about to write an online review as to why. I think it was very visual, as you would expect from Del Toro, but as an adaptation I consider that the wheels began to fall of from the word go. Not something I can explain in sufficient detail here.

It kept the late Steve Cropper in golf balls. 👍

So, Trump got a peace prize from the body that overseas the 'sport' where twenty-two overpaid, bad-tempered, prima donnas in mullet haircuts chase a beach-ball round a park, hacking each other's legs out from under them and lying to the referee about it while a crowd bays for his blood. About right.

I see where you're coming from on that (hence the nods).
One must not, however, ignore the principles of 'natural justice' - what could a jury do, for example, if it were clear to them that evidence had been withheld from them, breaking the principle of 'Audi Alteram Partem'?

It is, however, unusual for a judge to say, specifically, "If you DON'T decide based on the evidence you WILL be held in contempt of court and suffer the legal consequences." Tell me the judge used THOSE words to you and I'll retract.

Robert Shaw simply stole that movie!
I'm kind of a Bond fan. I feel the franchise has long since run its course and ought to stop. But I rather fancy the idea of remakes of films based closely on the novels and set IN PERIOD. I think that might work.

Money is both the measure of inequality and the fuel that drives its engine. It serves only to mask the true, intrinsic value of things. Whenever I see a phrase like "property values" my blood boils. How can you put a price on shelter, comfort, personal space, and safety? To the 1% it's numbers.

I'm reminded about the time that Shrewsbury Rep put on Arthur's Plough, a play by Chris Eldon Lee, about Shropshire farmer Arthur Hollins - an unusual wee guy (whom I met) - who pioneered yoghurt & invented a kind of shallow ploughing device. Keep it up, George.

Surely these "courts" have absolutely no legal standing anywhere in the world? They are a fiction. They do not exist outside the oligarchs' imagination.
Right-wing conspiracy nuts bang on about "Globalism" yet won't recognise that corporate capitalism already IS globalism, if they get away with this

The problem is that The State is always (potentially at least) a violent institution. The history of the US is violent by default, not peaceful, not fair, not just. ICE thugs operate because of, not despite, the system(s) in place. The State cannot cure The State.
Don't get me started on capitalism!
