As the Texas outbreak grows, how contagious is measles, really?
NPR. SHOTS - HEALTH NEWS

PS: it spreads 4 days before people get the rash (and 4 days after that).

Good to see influenza ED visits decreased last week in King County, WA - hopefully indicating we’re past this season’s peak. That said, still a LOT of flu out there, and relatively high number of LTCF outbreaks. Covid-19 activity remains relatively low.

Flu season is still in full swing at high levels, increasing again after a brief (pseudo-?) dip in JAN.

Not too late to get vaccinated, esp if 65 & older or w/underlying high-risk conditions.

Seek testing/treatment if you are in those groups & develop symptoms.

At this time of year in Seattle a short bike ride feels like a long bike ride and gravity stronger than ever.
