Yeah, I'd argue there isn't one clear path to victory like there was in Chip Rush. This is a bit trickier because the Event gives you several options to take, but those of us who haven't utilized these specific Perks in regular Emerald Rush initially feel out of our depth with this one!

...but the game gives you several options that you can utilize. I'd also recommend applying Fossil Radar as soon as possible if you don't have the Fossils in Hilltop memorized.

Don't despair! It's all about applying the multipliers that work for your playstyle as well as knowing exactly when and where the Void Goals are going to pop up (it's all pre-determined in the Events rather than random). There isn't one specific method that you're supposed to do...

Perks are curated for Events, which means everyone gets the same limited few, even if you haven’t unlocked them in regular Emerald Rush. There’s a strategy that works, though. Keep at it!
Spin Groove, Turf Groove, and Encore Groove. Remember that the order of Void Goals and location of Bananzas don't change, and you can augment your Skills whenever you have enough Chips. Use Round 1 to simply get enough for the next two quotas and get 10 Banandium Chips. Unlock Spin Jump...

Based on how much this one already had me sweating, I fear for a year from now how impossible the "Bachelor Bear and Mega AMP 2.0" challenges will be
After the relative cakewalk of the Enguarde event last month, it was a ton of fun to have to actually strategically plan your Bananzas and whatnot to beat this month’s challenge. Luckily nothing on God’s Green Earth could have stopped me from earning “the Lanky Kong”

It might take some practice, but you'll eventually have the location and order of everything memorized, and each new Fossil, Gem, and Void Goal you clear, you can work on boosting the Groove multiplier Perks. Don't be afraid to spend emeralds to cycle out ones that don't work for you.
