Preview of the next thing I'm selling from my collection, Bo Levi Mitchell's last red Stampeders jersey worn on 14 October 2022 versus Hamilton. Might have only been worn on the bench, but still his last red Stampeders jersey! I've enjoyed having it, but it's time to move it on.

Still think this is quite a cool thing to have on my desk. It's my first round fired (big brass casing) and my last round fired (little brass casing on the top) with the uniform accoutrements I wore on my final day in uniform. Still proud of myself for putting this together, think it looks great.

Just a bear wearing a bear-sized Riddell Axiom. Bears believe in safety! 😂 Paint is a little rough in places, but I'm very pleased with how everything turned out.

Just looking through some of my football photos, and came across this one again. Me with Charlie Power after getting him to sign his first pro jersey. Still crazy to me that his jersey somehow ended up with me through eBay... First guy from my HS to go pro, great guy all around!

We all have our faults! 🤣 #IsItJuneYet Congrats to the Riders on a great win, looking forward to the 2026 season! Go Stamps Go!

Some trans girls can't help but buy trans flag stuff. Count me in that group! Beautiful beaded deer hide earrings from the Indigenous market at the MacKenzie Art Gallery today, made by a local Metis artist.

After seeing the ridiculous iPhone sock, I decided to make myself a pocket for my phone for around the house. It's not fashionable, but it's also not meant to be! Just gives me a place to put my phone when I'm in my PJs 😂 All it cost me was a couple of pieces of scrap fabric!

In case anyone is wondering, this is the jersey... WAY too much. BUT... I now have all 5 versions of Stampeders retro jersey (1998, 2001, 2009 red & white, 2010). 😂

Okay, so I might have over reacted regarding VAC budget issues yesterday. The truth is a little more complex. Yes, medical cannabis reimbursement is being reduced, but overall funding is increasing. Lack of clear communication on these matters is the most frustrating part, since it can cause panic.

It's terrifying that the federal budget is calling for $4.2 billion in cuts from Veterans Affairs Canada over the course of the next 4 fiscal years, with no details given other than reducing cannabis reimbursement from $8.25/g to $6/g. I'm genuinely scared of what this will bring for me and others.

That battle alone was devastating for Canada, and Canadian football. Jerry Fitzgibbons was a star for the Calgary Tigers, and was the heart and soul of the team from its earliest days. His loss must have been crushing for the future of the team, and hard for the development of the sport in Calgary.

On this day, I especially remember the memory of Private Ryan J. Larson, killed in by a roadside bomb on 15 June 2011 in southern Dand district, Kandahar. That day will forever live in my memory.

The early Calgary football community contributed greatly to the Canadian war effort for the Great War. Of 198 identified players known to have played at least 1 game between 1908-14, 90 were known to have enlisted. Of those, 17 are known to have lost their lives in service of Canada. Lest we forget.

11 November 2011 changed my outlook of Remembrance Day forever. The last Remembrance Day parade in Kandahar after the end of the Canadian combat mission. I can hardly imagine a more poignant and visceral reminder of why we continue to mark the day. Lest we forget. Honour the fallen, help the living.

Finally finished sewing my mini moccasins that I started working on this summer. My fingers are stiff and a bit raw, but I'm so happy to have these done. They're a meaningful reminder of my healing journey. And they fit a bear perfectly. 🧡

After a disheartening day, I just wanted to post a few photos of my cat before going to bed.
