From Tarantino's films, bar Tarantino himself, Eli Roth is the actor that most takes me out of one of his films.

He's fine, but you're expecting "The Bear Jew" to have some presence after the build up. A strength, anger, charisma. But it's none of these.

Look out, it's "The Nebbish"

That's truly disturbing

I didn't know he was a communist

Think of the prequels.

Sam: A Casablanca Story - How Sam got his name. You'll laugh, you'll cry. Watch for a hilarious misunderstanding regarding ham. Starring Jaden Smith.

Welcome to Rick's: The 1st Day. A comedy farce. Rick forgets to buy alcohol with hilarious results. Starring Ezra Miller.

Withered hands of rich parasites clawing at the Earth.

Seems fitting 👍🏻

Covid lockdowns showed us who were important to keep the country running, then people immediately forgot.

It might have been "Nebula Left" that was the "new slur".

I see what you're saying, but if you're going to use it for a video wouldn't you watch his content to see if that was the case.

Especially if you're going to suggest he wants to send people to a concentration camp. Quite an accusation.
December 5, 2025 at 9:17 PM
I think the confusion was from me saying "you could" which I was using to mean people in general and also the youtuber more specifically.
December 5, 2025 at 9:33 AM
No, I wasn't saying that you had accused him of making up a new slur, it's the youtuber in the video that was accusing him.

The last one seems very damaging to American companies

Apologies for the long winded messages.

The short version is: I don't think the Kavernacle is homophobic... but I could be wrong

Reasons in the 80s and 90s people abused me and called me a "poof" (very much the British version of "fag" at the time):
1) Not liking football
2) Watching Doctor Who
3) Me being upset my dog died
4) Drinking a pink drink
5) Wearing the "wrong" trainers
6) Being too fat
7) Being too thin
8) Existing

Also, as there was no Internet at the time you wouldn't hear about young adults or children going on the stage. It wasn't common enough enough to then be used as a term of abuse.

All this is from my upbringing however and it may have been different in other areas of the country.

"Theater kid" has never, as far as I'm aware, ever been a 'phrase' people would use in Britain.

The change in Britain started in the ?late 1970s and that's when the rich started to take prominence pushing out the poor and ignored.
December 3, 2025 at 9:18 AM
The point is a "theater kid" in the UK doesn't mean gay.

The entertainment industry in the UK used to be a refuge for gay & working class people, but it's now mainly rich, white, cis people.

E.g. Previous "theater kids": Tom Hardy, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Eddie Redmayne.
December 2, 2025 at 8:30 PM
No, no. It's that in the UK "theater kid" isn't short hand for gay but shorthand for posh and out of touch.

This was a British YouTuber not an American one, so the terms will at times be related to Britain not America. That's what I meant.
