tuesday is remembrance day
and on friday i have a clinic thing.

been thinking about experience systems again
classic granular exp feels outdated. i also think milestone exp/at will leveling is kinda lazy.
there are 3 exp systems i look at nowadays:
- consistent exp + bonus (fabula)
- exp as growth currency (spend xp to buy stuff)
- x-sesh to level

when i was a kid i conflated it with suicidal ideation but now i know it's just how i process being in a rut

and like, it's great! get that bag! but i definitely do miss mechanic discourse. especially when it's in an optional involvement manner like bsky/twitter

- when roleplaying, a player can spend [meta currency] to capture a quote from conversation. later on, they can expend this quote to gain [bonus] to a roll
