Flew to Copenhagen to see Radiohead. Just got news the show tonight is canceled and I'm pretty bummed. That said, the city is super cool and now I'll go find a sweet bar to chill at I guess!

Post ban Standard: Rolled into Mythic going 21-3 (88% WR) with Spider-Man 2099 Izzet.
While not the menace Cauldron was, it should be noted that the Izzet shell is absolutely alive and well (sorry) with an 18+ dmg 2 card burst combo available as early as turn 4.

Hey @jenn-the-judge.bsky.social question regarding Koh, the Face Stealer from new set works with gaining Exhaust activated abilities. Can you pay 1 life to "refresh" the exhaust ability, or do you need to change to a new card, then back (effectively making refreshing cost 2 life)?

Watching the slow erosion of competitve Magic in my area in real time: The majority of our RCQs now won't have judge support next season (stores can't afford it), and weekly 60-card events are getting replaced by games like Riftbound.
I think @magic.wizards.com analytics HAVE to be flawed.

Urza gets a lot of hate in Modern for how stunlocked all of my opponents were when they saw it last weekend. Multiple times it lived through a WotS and rebuilt my board, or let me be proactive while holding counter magic up.

Nah man a big part of why the UB stuff makes me sad is cause I know it's extremely popular so they're going to keep doing it despite it making the parts of the game I deeply care about worse. Like I know a bunch of people are going to buy the 6th marvel set but that doesn't make my FNM fire.
Hearing the conversations around the con, I think heavily enfranchised online folks significantly overestimate how much their opinions on Universes Beyond are shared by the wider player base.

Nah man a big part of why the UB stuff makes me sad is cause I know it's extremely popular so they're going to keep doing it despite it making the parts of the game I deeply care about worse. Like I know a bunch of people are going to buy the 6th marvel set but that doesn't make my FNM fire.
That's a wrap in Silksong for me! I had to look up 1 tool and 2 relics to finish it off. Game was a fantastic next step for Hollow Knight, and I loved the movement upgraded especially.
