Oh hi! Happy holiday to you, however you may celebrate! Yesterday we visited a tiny bend in the Luckiamute River which travels from the west over 60 miles to feed into the Willamette River at almost the exact place the Santiam River feeds in from the east.

Sometimes people ask me why I set my Ordinary Magic books on the Oregon coast. Here's one reason: the Oregon coast is gorgeous!

This is Floras Lake down by Bandon where we camped last year. The lake is only 10 feet (3 meters) above sea level and joins the ocean via a creek that feeds a river. The

We took Tweedle Bug, our tiny rowboat out to Clear Lake, a high mountain lake in Oregon. That is the actual color of the water, which holds a chilly 37°F (3°c) year round. I loved it! #IloveOregon #boatadventure #explore

Twenty pounds of grapes harvested from our vine, cleaned, cooked into juice, and put in cheesecloth to strain overnight. Making grape jelly takes some time, but it is SO worth it! #canning #harvest #autumn
