The show helped me through a bad time, and inspired my own personal Nicktoons crossover project, but its main character is one of animation's best protagonists.
Always helping others, a cool attitude, love of jazz, and lives in the coolest room and city.

Hate heals, you should try it sometime
Strive for peace with acts of war
The beauty of death we all adore
I have no faith distracting me
I know why your prayers will never be answered
God hates us all, God hates us all
God hates us all, God hates us all
Yeah, he fuckin' hates me

It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side
Praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you

Praise the one who left you broken down and paralyzed
He did it all for you
He did it all for you

I'LL SEE YOU THERE

Just rewatched this classic, directed by Paul Michael Glaser, starring the one and only @schwarzenegger.bsky.social, and written by the great action movie scribe @stevenedesouza.bsky.social, the latter two who were responsible for a chunk of my childhood.

This one was a very special treat from @brianmbendis.bsky.social and @oeming.bsky.social. Mr. Bendis is no stranger when it comes to teen superheroes, so it only seemed natural that he would create not only one of his own, but also a little sister for her as well.

Finished all three volumes of Transformers: The Manga, picked 'em all up at my LCS.
The artwork is FANTASTIC and the Transformers all look great, but the plots and writing are a little on the light side. Most of the stories consist of some thin plots with just enough...
I've gotten to know @mattfraction.bsky.social through his collaboration with Ed Brubaker on Immortal Iron Fist, which I loved, but this is my first comic with him writing alone, with @stevelieberart.bsky.social as artist.

Another I finished recently, and had good fun with it: "Empress" by Mark Millar and Stuart Immonen.
Mark Millar gets a bad rap, but I personally very much enjoy his works. He loves to keep his stories fast and fun, and none of them will take more than half an hour of your time to read.

I finished this one awhile ago, but hadn't had the chance to post about it.
One of my latest reads was U.S.S. Stevens by the late Sam Glanzman, my first foray into his work.

Another horror-adjacent comic I read during October, and just finished today as well.
What do you get when you take vampires, World War II, and the Galaxy's Greatest Comic, @2000ad.bsky.social? You get Fiends of the Eastern Front.

Just finished up this one after a few days of reading, Good Omens: The Graphic Novel, adapted by @colleendoran.bsky.social from the book of the same name by the late Terry Prachett in collaboration with Neil Gaiman (I'll address the elephant in the room with him in a bit).

It's been a few days since I finished the whole thing, but I have read through the second compendium of the original Marvel run of The Transformers, compendiums courtesy of @skybound.bsky.social and @imagecomics.com, bringing us the talents of Bob Budiansky and Simon Furman, along with...

Another comic I finished reading today: "Life on Another Planet" by the late great Will Eisner.
I love his "A Contract With God" trilogy, and I've greatly enjoyed what books of The Spirit I could get my hands on, marking this as my next book of his.

My first venture into the Discworld franchise and Terry Prachett, this TPB collects adaptations of the first two books "The Color of Magic" and "The Light Fantastic", by a multitude of artists adapting it for comics.

Put it off for too long, not even opening it out of the plastic, but I finally saw "Freaked", co-directed, co-produced, co-written, and starring Bill S. Preston, Esquire himself: @alexwinter.com, for Halloween.
There's only one thing I hated about it: I didn't get to it sooner!
Easily one...
