Flash was dated and a proprietary software with compatibility issues so it kinda lost prominence as HTML5 became a thing which is open source and much more secure

If anything this is a good reminder that proprietary tech shouldn't be relied on

The story establishes that AFO has basically been leeching off everything around him including his younger twin, and later we see Yoichi's light blown out in a scene where it almost seems like AFO "stole it", symbolizing the remaining faith that he had being "stolen" as we see a glowing AFO descend

it really only softens up once we start seeing more of Yoichi's side and him still holding on to the innocent faith that his brother still having some kindness left in him
