Also fascinating seeing paintings of him as he aged, getting more and more dead behind the eyes. All joking aside, you can see the troubled man inside, just through his eyes. Fantastic artwork to capture it.

Tl;dr, surface level looks good in theory, but is terrible in practice.

Atheist activist Seth Andrews presents what he claims is the evidene that Christmas and its traditions are originally pagan. But his claims are nonsense.

A lot of the classic “everything is pagan” ideas come out of either Reformation propaganda (“Catholics are pagans, pass it on”) or C19th attempts to either debunk Christianity or promote emerging nationalisms - generally with no evidence beyond speculation.
