I just don't know what to do, man. Every game writer or localizer gives similar advice: things are bad now, best to look elsewhere. I've been doing that for 7 years and it's gotten me nowhere.

I've been confronting this by just writing on personal projects including a novel and an indie game, but I don't know if these things will really make any employer care about me versus the hundreds of other writing talent candidates that ultimately have accomplished more.

Very happy with how this review turned out! I'm reminded of why I only review a few games a year - this review ballooned in scale and became a far larger effort than I originally intended. This turned into one of my biggest blog posts to date!
