No news here, just a re-stating of all the existing situations.

I guess the only three real questions are whether Timoteo, Dias, and Rushenas return. I’d like them all back, but we wouldn’t be in a crisis without them.
Halifax Wanderers Roster Update: 9 under contract, 8 option decisions to come

I dearly want a permanent stadium, of course, but it’s always good to remember that the instant that happens, we’re not going to have the second-cheapest season tickets anymore.
December 7, 2025 at 11:09 AM
#HFXWanderers season ticket holders just got invited to a “meet the new coach” event on December 10!

No clues as to who it, is or if the public announcement will happen earlier than that, but I’m just glad the ink is dry on the contract.

Let’s get to work!

The sea smoke was a beautiful sight on the harbour this morning.

Too bad it’s one of those phenomena that’s only visible when it’s way too cold to be outside fiddling with your phone camera.

Wow. I just drove home from Hantsport... I have *never* gone through blowing snow that bad. A gust would cover the road, then shimmer left, then right, then left, then UP... it was blowing the Konami Code all over my windshield!

Ugh, what a morning. Enough rain to be a nasty commute, not nearly enough to warrant sleeping in.

But, it’s also December, so should get some Wanderers coaching news within a month, that could warm my spirits.

On the bright side, all we have to do is win two games next year, and we’ll be able to say we’re undefeated in Montreal!
December 1, 2025 at 2:46 PM
Here’s your least favourite Halifax Wanderers fact of the day: we’ve won 13 away games in club history.

The total number of away wins against currently existing teams? 4. Ottawa, Pacific, and twice in Vancouver.

Kautchy Andji-Yapi!

Welcome to the Wanderers, that Moncton connection is no less important!

Harvey Hughes!

It’s hard to say if he’ll get his chance with the new manager, but it’s always fun to bring in another Caper, and maybe we’ll see him in the ISS at least.

Welcome to the Wanderers!

Real talk from a guy who wants to dislike Inter Toronto: #ITO is a fantastic three-letter initialism. It’s Inter, it’s Toronto, it’s unique, and it doesn’t sound like “__ee Eff Cee”.
November 28, 2025 at 11:43 AM
And now another story, this one mentioning “Lamport Stadium”?

Help a non-Torontonian out, is this a good option?

Thinking about it, maybe the moment the York United rebrand failed was when they said “Yorky is dead.”

Not because Yorky was good (mercy, no!) but because it cast a light on how little things changed. Still York, York U, green kits, Nine Stripes… it was all still there, just with a fancier crest.

I know I like to poke fun at York United, but I do think this is a really good decision. The new owners ran the club for a while before deciding to rebrand — it’s not constant reinvention from their perspective.

And now, I’ll start poking fun at Intermediate Toronto.

The long-term plans include building a stadium and launching a local youth academy that will train young soccer talent at various ages.

Ugh CBC this is sort of a silly article anyhow, but no don't just ask ChatGPT - especially since you're already interviewing actual experts.

"So we asked ChatGPT" is *NEVER* news!

The Halifax Wanderers have really struggled to get new players out of the #USports draft in recent years, but it’s also worth remembering that Kareem Sow is a near-perfect example of what the draft should do: he’s now got his degree, and a good career waiting for him when he’s done playing.

I’m donating blood today, which is fine, except that I signed up for a plasma donation, which kind of sucks. It restricts the menu options more, and the hours are shorter, which means staff are basically sweeping up around me, getting ready to go home.

Another silver lining: Vancouver FC finally has a unique crest, and we can say VFC without getting confused any more. #CanPL

#ValourFC wasn’t just my second-favourite team because they were the underdog; they were my second favourite team because they were the sole representative of central Canada, the great plains, the connecting thread between east and west, and they had an amazing jersey every year.
November 21, 2025 at 7:28 PM
I really hoped that Valour would pull through. What awful news.
November 21, 2025 at 7:08 PM
I just realized that a rebrand of York United into Inter Toronto might have a lovely side benefit: it could kill off my least favourite phrase in the CPL, “The 902 Derby!”

One can hope.

So far, Pluribus is intriguing enough that I’ll keep watching.

I love how it gives us a whole new type of apocalypse, though — it takes every “what would you do to survive?” game that viewers like to play, and turns them upside-down.
