A group of us BBS operators used to get together and play LAN games like Doom, Quake, Duke Nukem, Descent, Team Fortress, Unreal Tournament, Half-Life: Counter-Strike, and MechWarrior before we'd meet for brunch on Sundays. Tapping keys and shouting at each other built up an appetite. /fin

I ran a multi-line BBS with online games where you could play against someone else in real time who was also logged in, but they were text-based. Some like chess and checkers, and others were turn-based, taking weeks to complete. But Doom changed the landscape. /2

I have asked this before. Where are all the lawsuits over these blatantly illegal actions? Why don't we read about them? Is there a compilation of them somewhere? Who is reporting on it?

This reminds me of the "I have hacked your camera" scam I used to get.
No. No. You didn't. Besides being behind a locked-down network and with two industrial-strength firewalls... I don't have a fucking camera anywhere in the building, and my phone is a landline.

Both my parents were children of the depression and lived through rationing during WWII. The hash we had always varied. Potatoes by half and whatever was available. To this day, my favorite is corned beef (what you call salt beef, I believe), always with an egg. Yours looks scrumptious.

As an aside to your correct observation, it is their vast amount of money preventing proper accountability that is poisoning this country, as those without suffer the obligations of law that those with do not.
