IKNOWRIGHT?! I had already paid the $35 in tariffs on $75 of yarn so I was losing my mind. I think they were literally just scanning it from one bin to another all day because nothing is set up to track or check tariff fees or anything. This is judt one of the days as they listed it on mine.

The UPS v. Hobbii 🧶 Part 2: yesterday the package was released for clearance by a govt agency! Then resubmitted for clearance 3x. Still no delivery date. Current hypothesis is there's no method in place on who or what tracks tariffs. And the govt has now shut down. So. Fucking. Sick of #winning.

Can we address the absolute cluster fuck that is intl shipping right now? I ordered yarn. I paid the $32 tariff. It took 2 days to get from Denmark through Germany and to Lexington, KY where it has been languishing for 2 weeks because there is no system. For yarn. From a yarn co. #Tariffs #FuckDOGE

#ShowMeYourKnits week: scarves. I don't do a ton of them, but ai was fascinated when I saw someone else's Brette Scarf by Rastus Hsu, so I had to try it. Only on my second repeat. 22 1/2 to go. *sigh*

I made some corn butter last week and got obsessed with it, absolutely not going to let any of it go to waste. So for today's experiment I used the corn butter instead of pastry cream for this nectarine and blueberry galette. I have high hopes...

I've started putting the top on and only leaving it open maybe 2 inches so I can see where the loaf is and that did seem to help with collapsing it (which I did every damn time). Here's my recipe, I do think the semolina gives it a really tender crumb.

is cowls. I did this (shown before blocking) for a nibling out of Valley Yarns Westfield yarn, which is wool/silk/yak and so, so yummy. You can also see my mess up on the hat decrease, which yes the pattern was wonky but I thought would work and did not. WARGH. Oh well.
Cowl in an odd shade of grey green called lichen, with ribbing and cables, and a matching wide trimmed hat with a very clear jog in the same patterns where the maker failed magnificently to figure out until too late that even though the pattern was kinda screwy her work was worse.

I dont generally go for cake but coffee cake always feels different. This one is a cheese-cake, where you ripnup cold cream cheese and fold it into the batter with berries. I subbed in yuzu chèvre, threw a bunch of turbinado sugar on top, and I must say the house smells AMAZING. #SkyBaking 🧁🍽
