Tony Bennett right up there on top of a skyscraper at the top of his game. And the cover. Beautiful.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Goal of the Dead in reference to that Fifa trophy.

The Remarkable Carmell Jones - Cheap Charly reissue. Good hard bop with Harold Land and Gary Peacock. They haven't messed with the sleeve either. NP

Listening to Intoxicated Demons like it's 1993. Hank Mobley inspired sleeve is lovely.

Been reading about Paul Chambers. Sadly, another one who wasn't allowed to reach his full potential. But oh boy, I'm loving his playing at the mo.

Love this. Written back in the mid 80s. Sets a scene perfectly. This could be a hip hop battle.
What you got?
Let me show you...

Shindig! Humble Pie article. Nowt new. More a side piece than front cover. Anyway, could never warm to them. A bit too sweaty and smutty for me. Song titles, content, and the bass drum. Ronnie did the can-can with far more subtlety.

NP* ...a soaring bit of soulful modernism that's almost a precursor to 70s sounds on record labels like Black Jazz or Strata East!

*cheap reissue, mint nick, terrible sleeve, incredible album. It's all about the music, man.

NP Dexter Gordon reissue of GO! I picked it up in an Oxfam in Wales about twenty years ago. I picked this other copy up for a couple of quid recently. My suspicion is it's a 1st press. Not sure with these things. It's mint. How would that happen?

NP a mint playing copy i picked up a while back. UK 1956 pressing. Top drawer line-up. Exactly the mood I'm in.
