I am a sucker for creature shop maquettes, and here’s a cool one of the Demogorgon on Stranger Things. Note the reference photos and other goodies that inhabit a sculpt/paint station at a practical effects shop. Terrific work from the folks over at @spectralmotion

Rainy days in Los Angeles remind me of the immortal Syd Mead’s sublime BLADE RUNNER paintings.

Some of the magnificent Marx dinosaur/prehistoric animal toys of my early childhood. Found a set on eBay a few years back that brought a big smile to my face.

Another one of my childhood bibles. Had to pick this one up instantly and thumb through, wherever I saw it.

So many memories of my 1977 thoughts and nostalgia in this single image. Difficult to explain, but STAR WARS was an overwhelming, life-altering experience for me. Art by the immortal John Berkey, if memory serves.

Had this sticker book when I was a kid who loved dinosaurs. Little has changed in the years since, lol.

I’ve never seen this one before. Don’t know how many times I’ve seen the film before I realized that was one of the retracted landing pads of the Nostromo. Note Brett at the bottom for scale.

It’s funnier (and sadder) that Chuck is STILL thinking it over.

Not going to the parade today, but it’s a pretty good day to be in LA. Had to bust out the ‘24 championship lid. The ‘25 version’s in the mail :)

Apparently today is International Godzilla Day, so here’s my sleek version from the unmade 1990’s Sony/Jan deBont version. Proud of this one.

Filming SKYFALL )2012), in my top 10 as far as 007 films are concerned.

Now that the whole Nanotyrannus debate has been settled within the Paleo-community, thinking about putting the full-image version of my Nano out as a special edition print. It was created before the digital age, so I’d have to have the darn thing rescanned, so I’ll list that under 2026 ideas.
