#AlphabetChallenge #WeekJforJ Jasper is an aggregate rock typically of quartz or chalcedony. This leads what we call rocks Jasper to be an extraordinary variety of shapes, colors, and patterns. This particular specimen is known as Ocean Jasper. #Jasper, #Mineral
I noticed a suspicious lack of comments on this picture....
#AlphabetChallenge #WeekIforI Igneous rocks, one of the three main classifications of rocks, form when magma cools into solid rock such as granite, pumice, basalt and #Obsidian. This lace obsidian sample highlights the multiple minerals present in rocks with black impurities in a translucent piece.
Several, land of the lusteous made me take 3D animated shows more seriously and made me love another 3d show girls band cry. Twelve Kingdoms made me start reading light novels because i wanted more information on the world. Wolf Children made me start paying attention to anime movies in General.
#AlphabetChallenge #WeekHforH A habit is the tendency for specimens to grow into characteristic shapes. This can be due to the molecular composition as well as environmental factors. This #Amethyst shows a concentric habit where a circular ring formed around a center point. #minerals #crystals
#AlphabetChallenge #WeekGforG Goldstone is a cool manmade mineral created from mixing silica, copper oxide, and other metals. Once it is fully mixed it is sealed from the air slowly cooled to allow cooper crystals to form. The better the crystallization the better sparkle you get.

Celestine (SrSO4), is a worldwide mineral found in small quantities. This mineral is commonly used for its high strontium content in fireworks and various metals such as aluminum to reduce oxidation during processing.

#AlphabetChallenge #WeekFforF Fluorite (CaF₂), A common crystal found locally in Illinois (its the state mineral). It comes in a variety of vibrant colors such as Red, Yellow, Blue, Purple, and green due to other elements. Pure flourite is clear.

Its crazy how slag looks like blue glass. I have some slag from Sweden here!
Ai art was described this way to me, imagine you are a button pusher who wants to make decisions, but are not creative enough for everything. Ai art allows button pushers to get their way without ever needing to think or be creative. If AI keeps going, we may lose alot more then we gain.
I am curious if the negativity around art ai will impact possible game evaluation ai that can assist designers with balancing the game more. I remember that this was a talking point until the same networking models were applied to art and lit side of things.
#AlphabetChallenge #WeekEforE Enhydrite crystals occur minerals form around watery deposits and trap them inside its molecular structure. While many crystals can be enhydros, quartz's clear properties allow for much easier viewing of trapped liquid.

We get some really nice refractions from our door in the morning apparently.

Diamonds (C), are the hardest mineral currently known and can be lab grown without any imperfections. The imperfections of natural diamonds allow for florescent qualities that are processed out of any lab diamonds.

Im trying to do a mineral, or geology related term beginning with each letter. Certain weeks are much harder then others. I for example. :)
Im a week behind apparently, not much in minerals that begin with D though that can be dangerous.

Calcite, CaCO3, is a mineral with a birefringence (double refraction) property with clear calcite. Light becomes polarized and split into two images. When viewing through a polarized lense, one image will disappear.

I was completely unsure who was on yet. Thanks for sharing!
Managed to clean and get my lead samples enclosed before our little one found them! Im probably going to make a post about the schalenblende, but i now wonder why a galena worry stone was a good idea...

Swedish blue (or Bergslagen) is a man made stone generated from Swedish Iron production over 300 years ago. It looks very similar to volcanic glass in appearance and feel. It gets its blue green color from elements of copper.

Bismuth (Bi) is surprisingly dense (86% the density of lead!). Raw bismuth is typically a silver white color when processed, but will display prominent cleavages and colors when carefully heated and cooled.
