In Total Young people must complete: 6 physical exams 10 medical tests 20 psychological questionnaires 5 full neuropsychological test batteries (repeated 3 times) 6 developmental screeners 4 administrative assessments MRI scans (CONNECT only) More than 50 assessments in total, many repeated six, eight or even more times over two years. And that still leaves out everything that surrounds them, including travel, long clinic waits, repeated appointments, disrupted schooling and the emotional weight of being asked again and again to revisit the most painful parts of their lives.

If this government, your government, sees to make it illegal for me to use the spaces I have used in peace all my adult life, your government will simply declare me a criminal for living my life as who I am. Many politicians and organisations have suggested we wait for the official EHRC guidance, but from baroness Falkner's history and comments, as well as the equality minister and the prime minister, this is a foregone conclusion. It is clear the intent is to legally de-recognise the existence of trans people, ban us from spaces as ourselves and to make discrimination if not de facto legal, encouraged. I plead with you to stand up for your trans constituents. To defy the hateful rhetoric of the party seniors, the EHRC and the supreme court. To call for legislation that overrules this gross injustice of the supreme court. I know you have signed the declaration calling for the acknowledgement of trans history week. This is a nice gesture but let me tell you as a trans woman the history currently being written has your party as the main antagonist. As things stand your party will go down in history that dragged us back to the time when my very existence was a crime. Considering this is only the first year of this government and we have already seen our healthcare banned based on the heavily debunked Cass report and nhs trans care warped into conversion therapy, as well as now calls for the segregation of trans people to appease the fears conjured up by the far right, it may well be that this Labour government will be remembered as more villainous to the queer community than Thatcher's. I fear for what's to come. I have seen you stand up to the Labour party, most recently to Starmer's disgraceful "island of strangers" speech. This week all political parties have been banned from attending pride in London. Not because of the tories or reform, but because of the Labour party. After banning puberty blockers (the first anti Igbt legislation since section 28) the Labour party now welcomes the farcical ruling of the supreme court and is calling for the segregation and limiting of ability to participate in public life of trans people. I have lived in this country for ten years, I came here at 17, I have been Rose for all that time. All my adult life in this country I have lived as a woman and participated in British society as a woman. I was on tv for four seasons of a popular tv show, The Great Pottery Throw Down, and have had a studio in a London landmark, the Oxo Tower, for four years now. I have made this country my home despite Brexit and the culture war against my people making me feel less and less welcome. But now, the supreme court has decided, without hearing any trans people, without debunking any counterargument, without any attempt at understanding the complexities of biology or human life, that I am not who I say I am and undeserving of consideration or a dignified place in British society. To declare me a "biological male" is not just offensive and in the trans community considered an outright slur, it is simply wrong and ludicrous. Yes, I was born a baby boy 27 years ago but a lot has happened since then. Now oestrogen courses through my veins, enough to have naturally grown breasts. I no longer have the genitalia I was born with, I've had a vagina for nine years, again, my entire adult life in this country. I am living proof you Can change sex. I implore you to oppose the supreme court ruling and the interpretation ministers, the prime minister and the EHRC are running with. Results and Conclusions
Results Using the ROBIS tool, we identified a high risk of bias in each of the systematic reviews driven by unexplained protocol deviations, ambiguous eligibility criteria, inadequate study identification, and the failure to integrate consideration of these limitations into the conclusions derived from the evidence syntheses. We also identified methodological flaws and unsubstantiated claims in the primary research that suggest a double standard in the quality of evidence produced for the Cass report compared to quality appraisal in the systematic reviews. Conclusions We discuss these issues in relation to how evidence regarding gender affirming care is framed, the wider political context, and the future for gender affirming care. The Cass report’s recommendations, given its methodological flaws and misrepresentation of evidence, warrant critical scrutiny to ensure ethical and effective support for gender-diverse youth

Background and Method
Abstract Background The Cass Review aimed to provide recommendations for the delivery of services for gender diverse children and young people in England. The final product of this project, the Cass report, relied on commissioned research output, including quantitative and qualitative primary research as well as seven systematic reviews, to inform its recommendations and conclusions. Methods We critically evaluated the Cass report and the research that was commissioned to inform it. To evaluate the Risk of Bias within the seven systematic reviews commissioned by the Cass Review, we applied the ROBIS tool – a domain-based assessment of risk of bias within systematic reviews. It focuses on four domains (i) study eligibility criteria, (ii) identification and selection of studies, (iii) data collection and study appraisal, and (iv) synthesis and findings. To maintain rigour, the ROBIS tool was applied to each systematic review by two independent assessors, within Covidence, with conflicts resolved by an additional two independent assessors. We also conducted a detailed critical evaluation of the methods used in the survey of gender services for young people in Europe, the two quantitative studies of health records, and the qualitative study on the experience of gender dysphoria among young people and the claims made in the Cass report based on these studies.

Badenoch tweet: @KemiBadenoch The third reason was having gender-critical men and women in the UK government, holding the positions that mattered most in Equalities and Health. You only need to look at what the SNP did in Scotland to see what would have happened had we not intervened. The Cass Review would **never** have been commissioned under a Labour govt. Labour did not want to know. We had incredible opposition from the system on everything. It was when the ministers changed that everything changed.

When they say biological sex it needs to be pointed out that they mean 'certificated sex at birth', which is based upon a look at the groin and rarely on any other factors. The ISNA have a handy chart that illustrates the measure used
