I had a similar experience. My sister and I had a rough year and I decided to buy VIP tickets for the Manchester gig. A sort of s*d it moment. It was a brilliant experience!

I didn’t know that many fans throw stuffed toy frogs onto the stage when he’s performing, as in
"Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of bein' a king and then became one?"
He was knee deep in frogs!!!

I ‘think’ ‘guzz under’ = ‘goes under” = ‘die’ 😝 She was a hoot my mum. I’m sure you are right about that generation. Also many of her phrases were from ITMA.

My mum had a phrase (she had so many odd ones that we labelled them ‘mumisms’) If she dropped some food she might sometimes expect us to eat it “get it eaten, we all eat a bit of dirt before we guzz under’. Me neither.
