We outline how decision-making and behavior change models can be applied to understand these barriers and identify psychologically-informed strategies to overcome them, for example by increasing autonomous motivation to vote (check out our recent preprint on this! osf.io/4bcq2_v1)

Our commentary applies a developmental lens to address this cycle. We discuss how structural and psychological barriers interact in unique ways during emerging adulthood and describe a psychologically-informed approach to developing initiatives to support youth to overcome voting barriers.

My congressional district is projected to lose $182M annually in economic activity due to federal funding cuts to the NIH. This is a massive loss not only for health researchers & those that directly benefit from advancements, but also for our community as a whole.
