Henry’s speech is making the point that everyone inside would already understand. “We’ve breached the wall. This is your last chance to surrender or else”

An attacking force almost certainly would be able to take a stronghold by storm at that point, but would take exceptionally high casualties in doing so. They would take revenge on the populace if they were forced to make the assault.

He didn’t use “cry havoc,” but he did threaten to massacre the populace if they did not surrender.
That would not have been considered excessively heinous in the 15th and 16th centuries. That was what was expected to happen to a city continuing to resist after having their walls breached.

I presume he gets an 11th hour pardon for all actions taken in office and we’re stuck with nothing.

I just finished dinner with a couple of midwesterners and they both reported familiarity with cheddar and apple pie.

Do you encounter a lot of people who want to identify as Afroeurasian because they’re from the vast landmass, but can’t because it’s being used as some county’s demonym?

We already have perfectly functional and well understood continental identifiers and country-by-country identifiers.

I also discovered that Staples apparently bought up Party City and is running mini-Party Cities in their stores now.

Thank you!
Every time I see this meme it does to me roughly what I suspect "fire in a crowded theater" or RICO does to Ken White. Please think of your local disability representatives before reposting.

I wonder if it was Gater’s team that did the GPR if they got the funding through Time Team.

You can't promise particular results, but you can say "no fees unless you win"

Assuming the statement is actually true (and it probably is, most PI attorneys work on contingency only), that seems like pretty standard stuff.

"It depends." Consult your local bar.

I went and checked before replying. He created his account 6/14/23. Mine was 6/22.

We should be able to have a little First Amendment exception for this, as a treat.
November 26, 2025 at 8:41 PM
lol. Just realized it was apparently the "I signed up a week after you did" skeet which triggered the block. I guess he didn't want any reply when he attempted to deny just objectively provable facts.
November 26, 2025 at 8:40 PM
Yes, it is. Both in choosing an overly complicated theory of the case and in incompetently prosecuting it once it was chosen. This is the same office that also saw their RICO case against Young Thug fall apart in spectacular fashion with a judge accusing them of all sorts of malfeasance.

Make sure you get a big sip of coffee first.
November 26, 2025 at 8:18 PM
I'm particularly amused by his denial of simple, demonstrable facts like "I signed up a week after you"
November 26, 2025 at 8:15 PM
Yes, as anticipated.

If you're trying to tell someone that they're wrong about the hypo you have to accept the hypo. That's how it works.
November 26, 2025 at 7:34 PM
I signed up a week after you did...
November 26, 2025 at 7:33 PM
It's not even remotely ironic.
