I’m deeply disappointed that there’s no outrage or news coverage about the violent xenophobic attacks happening in Libya. Black African “migrants” are being looted and beaten to death, with many being driven out of sight and into concentration camps for extortion.

🚨 EMERGENCY right now in Tripoli, Libya🇱🇾
The refugee hunt is open.

Police make illegal arrests.
The population is threatening the refugees nationwide following deadly propaganda being spread on TikTok.
Their belongings are looted.

The world is closing its eyes.
Europe says: job well done.

We did what refugees are never supposed to do: we wrote a book that names and criticises the humanitarian agency that is meant to be our “saviours”

For years, they wrote about us. Reports, statistics, projects. Now we have written about them—about UNHCR, IOM, and the EU…..

As it happens to me that many found this poetic, I will share it with the rest of you. I presented this text in Malta two days ago at the launch of the Malta Migration Archive @maltamigrationarchive.org , held at the University of Malta. I had no fancy speech to give, so I left this behind.

To speak about the referendum in Italy today is to speak of what the maniacs call a “defeat”.

In our world, defeat is not accepted, not this kind but it is recognised.

Thanking every Italian who could mirror our world to themselves and made a just vote.

The 🌍 needs you.

The flames are haunting but so are the questions!!

Dear Italian brothers and sisters,

Since I cannot vote, and since your vote holds the power to secure rights for many who live in this country without them, I invite you to read my short letter.

The referendum day is on the horizon and I do hope that fear will not be the author of your vote.

Ongoing protest in Tunisia 🇹🇳

One must be enough of a mother, enough of a father, enough of a brother, enough of a sister and above all, enough of a human being to recognize the pain of these women who now find themselves in the grip of violence and state-to-state human trafficking….

Just yesterday, I was writing about how we are often told to wait. Wait and wait.

This morning, I walked to the airport with a boarding pass for zone 1 not to mention business class, but I was the last to board after phone calls had been made, pictures of my documents scanned and photographed….

Writing this from European soil reinforces something terrible a chilling realisation that ordinary Europeans, too, don’t care about the children and the millions like them, as shown in this picture. It is spring, and soon it will be summer in Europe………continue

Am I an abnormal human being that these pictures of slavery in Libya haunts me everyday?

How do normal humans react to this?

Some people survive war by hiding. Others by forgetting. I survived and continue to do so by remembering everything, even the things I wish I could forget. That is how I know who I am.

On the other hand, the people of one continent or two; tried to make me believe that my life began when..

I have received alarming reports that Libyan security forces and armed groups affiliated with the Ministry of Interior are systematically targeting and arresting Black Christian migrants across Tripoli during Ramadan.

I add my voice to the call for their immediate release.

In the cold cells of captivity, I learned that silence is the language of the dead. And so I chose to speak, to scream if I had to, because a whisper in the dark is still a refusal to be erased.

Lam and I met in the kind of circumstances that break men before they even realize they are broken. Libya, a country where the color of our skin had become the weight that drowned us, where our blackness was both a curse and a currency, we found….

These are not convicted criminals but children who have been trafficked from Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia to Libya.

If one has the sincerity of being human, one would examine their current condition and say it is slavery and crime against humanity.

Why is no one taking action?
January 15, 2025 at 11:38 AM
If this picture doesn’t haunt your consciousness in this 2025 then you need a serious distance from identifying as human.

This is Naima Jamal from Ethiopia who is now being sold and held captive for $6.000 in Libya. This applies to those behind her too

When is Meloni, Von Der Leyem , Malta, Germany, Belgium, EU parliament and EU commission, Frontex and in fine EU authorities will be held accountable for crimes against humanity committed against migrants and refugees in Libya, Tunisia and now transcending North Africa to West and central?
