Student fears/concerns example 2

On Monday we explored the world of metaphor: complex, conceits, rhetorical, cognitive, analogies.

On Wednesday students worked in groups creating extended, or complex metaphors comparing their fears/worries to a scary setting. It was a pre-writing activity for student created scary stories.

This was the early 70s version of “I got a PS5 for my birthday.”

As you were talking about dugout touching it made me think of this Barbara Kruger piece.

I have 175 students in my 5 high school ELA classes this year. (185 is the max)

In my 3 CP 10 ELA and 2 Honors 10 ELA classes, I gave my students the choice of using A.I. to complete part of their research paper on Ethics and a dramatic play. Then I gave them a survey. Here is the first question.

For when you are feeling "I need a burrito" sad.

Just keep these little tubs of spud in the pantry, add boiling water, wait a minute then stir in 2 tablespoons of pub cheese.
