(Bob Carlton was there with FoxJet, but I consider that a really cool glider performance rather than a jet performance.) This is an image from the night show just as the sun was setting. The sunset gave the jet a nice warm glow and you can also see the sunset behind in the reflection.

I wasn’t sure if it was going to work out, but in the end it did so I was able to capture both in the frame.

It was a great addition to the show. I look forward to seeing them again at a future show. Here are a few images from the Saturday performance.

I have some closer views of this pass but wanted to start with this one because of the story it tells. I really like how this image turned out--not only because Thom Richard is coming right at us, but because of the story it tells with Rachel Lietzke capturing the pass as well.

This is a composite of two images from The Chuters Parachute Team from the Wings Over North Georgia Airshow a few weeks ago and from Warbirds Over Monroe this past weekend.

Bonus for this one is Scooter’s fiancé Rachel Lietzke is in the background shooting Scooter as he passes right in front of us.

When I saw this after the pass, I knew it was a keeper. This is my new favorite shot I’ve captured of QuickSilver P-51! Thanks so much to Ricardo von Puttkammer for hosting the event, it was fabulous.

This weekend will likely be the last chance to see fall color given the freezing temperatures forecasted to move in.

I also drove down to the nearby Duke Energy Visitor Overlook overlooking Lake Jocassee. I did not really know if was there but followed the overlook sign and, wow, what a surprise! The view was amazing.
