I do think the visuals & ideas are good, & the villain double-act is some proto-Holmes writing.
But yeah it's not great either.
Can't bring myself to say Ogron; A Fixed-Ogron, maybe?

I'd have gone for a tri-bred! Ogron (plot is BORING!), Prof. Hayter (the ideas ARE interesting), & Cassandra (the Ice Warriors LOOK great!).
But as you say, a lot of the ideas are confused, & nothing *really* happens!
