I don't doubt that there are Many of Trump supporters in rural Canada. 20%, 30% is a lot! Is that in every community, everywhere in rural Canada, in all those elections? But her claim is that in every rural community in every part of Canada, in 2016, 2020 and 2024... a pluraĺity in every case.

Cecil, can you please point to a reputable source supporting your claim that all of rural Canada would have voted for Trump in each of the elections he contended in? This would change my mind about some things.

One unexpected consequence of this research may be that we may find new ways to signal directly to the brain stem of crocodillian humans like Trump. Apologies if that offends alligators.

We’re losing the farmland that feeds us at an unsustainable rate. The bill MPP Brady and I put forward would permanently protect our farmland to ensure that hundreds of years from now Ontarians can still rely on Ontario food and farmers to feed us.

Now is the time to protect our farmland.

Doesn't the world in June 2025 needs a new Planetary Compact? One in which membership confers near-immediate significant economic, health and security benefits. Making aggression immediately costly. If freed from USA hegemony, could it be initiated by Canada/South Africa/Brasil/France/and ? in Asia?

the horrors of this genocide are beyond what words can hold..but among its many impacts is the erosion of my faith in humanity. but seeing kids create art rooted in empathy + resistance, with a teacher guiding them - has offered a small but powerful glimmer of hope. i am sincerely touched.

Very very disappointing. Why is he going this route? I hoped Carney was sincere when he so recently declared Canada would take up the mantle of champion for the international rules-based order.

Susanna, my father was born Cologne in 1928 and left it with his family after his best friend's father, the Jewish MD living next door, was taken away as he watched, never to be seen again. That was in 1934. Dad dedicated his life to justice.
