I watched the first series of Not the Nine O'Clock news last night.
Imagine my surprise when, in 1979, the main points were:
1) No NHS beds
2) Stamp prices marketed as daylight robbery ('2p for postage, 10p for storage')
3) Iran!! The Ayatollah is dangerous!
