That implies an eternal unchanging quality that makes me uncomfortable

Also, not a great look if you decide to remove it later...

You just need to make one of your OKRs "don't die stupidly"

that'll work, right

There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way who nods at them and says
"Morning, boys how’s the atproto?"

The two young fish swim on for a bit and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes

"What the hell is atproto?"

I wanted to reach into the book and exact vengeance myself if the David in the novel wouldn't do it. But then, it wouldn't be the novel it is."

On Disgrace, I didn't often write reviews in those days, but for this one I did (review written by a much younger Dave)

"After reading that I need a hug. The writing hooked me from the first few pages, and then it dragged me on through the rest of the novel. \

Actually only read Disgrace by him. My favourite South African novel would be Olive Schreiner's Story of an African Farm. Read at a time when I'd lost my faith it hit in all the right ways. I reread it a few times, and I'm probably overdue a read but worry about how it will have aged for me

Core memory was seeing Saturn's rings on top of the local university Physics building as a kid. Not 50 of us, but around 20? It was fun. Can't tell you how they managed to herd us I'm afraid. But if you do it right they'll remember it for years

Agree, actually

The "can people tell I'm kidding" test. Difficult these days

Also, everything presented stripped of context. Without the context of the article it's reasonable to take a death threat at face value, lyric or not

In the context of the article it's ~probably~ fine
