Listed below is information about commissions and how to support me.

Page 1 of commission directions. 1) Select the character type: Full Body ($35), Half Body ($55), Bust ($75) 2) Select the coloring style: line art (black and white; $25), flats (color, no shading; the most popular option; $35), Hard Shading (color with sharp shading; $45), Soft Shading (color, shading done with a more painterly style; the most time consuming option; $65). 3) Add the character style with the color style, and you have the estimated price. Additional characters are 50% of the base price; up to 3 characters. Backgrounds are either no background or a solid color/gradient. More complex backgrounds will need to be discussed, and will start at a base price of $50 to start. CHIBI STYLE commissions follow a similar pattern as the regular commission, but is only allowed in a full body. Additional chibis are $10 each. Rules: - no more than 3 characters at a time, unless previously discussed. - Please provide references, visual or written. Anything to help me best capture your character. - Ask about availability first before talking about the commission you’d like! I don’t really have a waitlist, but my ability to work is based on my real life job!! - once contact is made, I will either confirm or decline your commission. I will then discuss payment, and have you complete the COMMISSION AGREEMENT (contract), which will be emailed to you. This, as well as payment, will need to be completed before work begins. I WILL DRAW: most anything, especially OCs and player icons! I WON’T DRAW: realism, animal portraits, detailed mecha, NSFW content, political works. I WILL NOT: promote hate speech, homophobia, or anything remotely close. I will block you if you request an item of this nature. Payment: is through PayPal. You will pay everything up front, or 50% at the start 50% at the end. NO BITCOIN. Once all payment is received, you will receive a HD version of your commission. The last two segments discuss guarantees and other additional information. I aim to work with you every step of the way, so I will not proceed with anything without your approval. I DO NOT WORK WITH ANY AI. SHORTHAND VERSION THE ARTIST - The Artist (Nicole Sbalcio) retains all rights to the work produced unless otherwise negotiated. - The Artist reserves the right to decline or refuse service to a client for any reason. - The Artist may give advice, suggestions, or ideas so that the art/character(s) clearly conveys the client’s expectations and vision. - The Artist reserves the right to cancel a commission after two weeks of no communication between The Client. THE CLIENT - The Client (you) retains all rights to the character(s) depicted. It is the client’s responsibility to assure they have permission in who/what is being portrayed. - Regarding approved fanart, characters depicted are retained by the original owners, neither the artist nor the client. - The Client must treat the Artist fairly and respectfully. Any form of bigotry, rudeness, or indecency will terminate services with the Artist. - Besides the use of cropping, The Client may not modify the work in any way. Watermarks may NOT be cropped out or removed. - Commissions are for PERSONAL USE ONLY, and may use the work for non-profit purposes (I.e., icons, profiles, and personal prints). The Client may not resell the commission for profit, unless a commercial use form has been signed and agreed upon. - The Client may not use their work as an NFT or use it in an AI engine. - The Client and The Artist may post the work, with proper credit. Cancellations & Refunds - You are allowed to contact me about a refund during the art process, but not after the product is completed. - If I am unable to complete your commission, then you are entitled to a full refund. In this case, I will send the amount back to you. - You are not allowed to file for a chargeback under any circumstance.Failure to comply will have you blacklisted. Revisions - You are allowed up to 2 small revisions after completion (e.g., simple color change, add a pattern, etc) with no fee. Afterward, you will be charged $20 per request

I tweaked my arm today while conducting my students. The good news is that I can still (kinda) draw. The bad news is that my entire arm is really sore.

Sore might not be the right way to put it… it’s definitely uncomfortable.

So this was initially a really quick doodle with one of the pens I’m practicing inking with, and… then I colored it.

Forseth looks like an entirely different character when he’s not scowling, and Crissa looks different with her hair down.

Okay, pen test #2. No color this time, but just simple inking.

I have two different pens this time - one is the same pen as the one that people liked on the previous edition (just with a taper instead of a fade), and the other is a solid/no texture pen.

LMK your thoughts!

Full color digital art illustration with a detailed background (actually a comic page) from my Out of Memory webcomic. It is a dark fantasy and horror comic (with a tiny slice of sci-fi) about a pacifistic warrior and his journey to find the truth about his family. The drawing depicts the morally ambiguous character "Yaoshe Baiqiao" (aka. "Yao") sitting leisurely in a traditional Chinese-style room. He is an influential politician and schemer who appears to be allied with the main protagonist. He is an elegant bishie (pretty boy) who appears to be in his late twenties or early thirties, with long, curly medium purple hair that extends past his shoulders and pink eyes with white pupils. He is wearing an elaborate red and purple outfit that resembles traditional Chinese hanfu and is holding a pipe that is shaped like a serpent's head in his right hand. Yao’s outfit is extremely expensive and is decorated with a good amount of gold and gemstones. His boots and sash are especially elaborate and have large, teardrop-shaped rubies embedded in them. Yao has an enigmatic smile on his face. A large wisp of pink smoke can be seen emanating from the mouth of the pipe. Created using Clip Studio Paint.

So about a month or two ago, I was like, what if I made promotional art for #theelementals? And then once I settled on #someonetowatchoverme as the first story, this took a backseat for a little while. I finally got around to finishing it!

I may fiddle with it some more later…

I’m going back and fixing up the sketches and adding speech bubbles to correct some grammar and pacing… so that way supporters/proofers can read it easily.

And then I’ll start work on the next few chapters… and work on the next chapter for the Bionicle manga 😂
