so we hit up our local game shop for the first time (kingslayer games here in oceanside, I think they do have a few other locations in the general area) to see what they had to offer. came away with a couple FFXMTG packs and this incredible set of shiny gold dice!

new november pickup! I enjoyed Cruisin' Blast a lot, so when I found out this was getting a home conversion as well I knew I had to jump on it. Honestly not feeling it as much as I did with Cruisin', but I'm still having some fun with it. Just wish there was more stuff in it!

for #randomgamesaturday I went with what might be a repeat? but I had a spare JPS2 and just picked up a new power cord for it so hooked up my setup in the living room and been playing a good bit of this! definitely far easier to play it on a TV tray compared to in the bedroom, haha.

NGL it hasn't been a great October. so @miishiikins.bsky.social and I needed a day out to escape! stopped in at KFC for lunch then hit up Throwback Gamez for some retro goodness. Definitely the break we needed from the ongoing shitshow. At least got us some NES heavy hitters!

My #randomgamesaturday pick is the PlayStation 2 port of Unreal tournament 99! Fell in love with the PC version at a lan center and played it with @miishiikins.bsky.social one year on our laptops! So happy to have this one again after picking it up on eBay.

I did go to a thing with my first ex in folsom some years ago... but I'm gonna wager this was about the other time I was there. by some miracle I still have this shirt!! good times I definitely miss playing and need to figure out how to fix that soon.

And also on this day the Dreamcast turned 26! My modest collection so far (including some reproductions, I am on kind of a budget here.) maybe I'll upgrade some of them to at least the japanese version someday.

I was hyping this one up this week, but Random Game Saturday for this week stars my latest ebay pickup... Gunstar Heroes! Far and away my favorite game for the Genesis, it's not even close! Treasure hit it out of the park with this one, amazing visual effects, music and solid gameplay.

aww... yeah my wife had to have hers put down 2021 IIRC? the poor thing wasn't doing well either so it was definitely time. she was a mess the entire time after we left, still misses her a great deal! a short while later she adopted a new cat and she's just been wreaking havoc ever since!

better late than never for random game saturday: NBA Showtime! just recently turned my wife onto the Midway arcade sports stuff, so hoping to fire this one up again soon. Definitely miss their specific style of sports games with all the crazy secret stuff!

My favorite Saturn game of all time! some months ago I was able to import the Japanese version for my collection! Such a fun RPG-beat-em-up. also one of the best anime intros ever!!

random game saturday is kinda cheating cus I haven't picked up much new this month (yet) so going with my current fave, Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2! so far sank about 33 hours into the story, and still have to reveisit Phantom Liberty!

Random Game Saturday (sponsored* by eBay(TM)) is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time! one I did check out in the PS2 days but never got around to it. I have the PC version though I could never figure out how to get the controller to work, so I thought I'd just get it this way.

First pickup for August! I knew as soon as it was announced I had to make room for it in my Switch 2 wishlist! the motion controls are definitely the perfect fresh coat of paint on one of my favorite open-world games of all time! dig the stickers it comes with as well.
