This is epistolary version of people learning to sing in a way that sounds like heavily auto tuned vocals.

That’s very generous.

I rank them as being only somewhat better than the flavored topical anesthetic gel they use at the dentist before giving you a shot of novocain.

Looks amazing.

If I had to keep only one of the three it would be the food processor.

But the OP blender can do things that nothing else can duplicate.

It can make amazing gravy thickened with dried mushrooms or roasted veggies instead of roux.

Tahini and hummus both come out smoother than any other method.

The blender and the food processor both make mayo pretty well.

But you can’t beat the convenience of a stick blender for making mayo.

Dump all the stuff in the jar and pull the blade up slowly and done.

No slow drizzling of oil or nothin’.

Stick blenders are unmatched for soup and mayo.

2. Vitamix (or whatever OP blender you want). It turns ice into snow and makes amazing velvety emulsions. Great for cocktails and gravy.

3. Immersion blender. The Mayonnaise Giver. You might think mayo sucks or is bland. But home made mayo is a whole different beast.

I actually use all three of my spinning blades of death devices regularly. In order of importance:

1. Food processor. All the chopping. Can be used as a poor substitute for the other two.

Just don’t get them confused.

Buzzkill moment, but I hope you’re not using those pet names for account recovery anywhere.

This is why, were I the dictator of a nation, one of the things I’d do is schedule regular utility cut drills.

At least once a year, everyone would get their power and water cut for a few hours. You’d get a window of a week as warning. Other than that? Be ready.

The other thing I’d do is quit.

Great idea. Not too different from how pot legalization has been evolving.

How a flawed idea is teaching millions of kids to be poor readers
For decades, schools have taught children the strategies of struggling readers, using a theory about reading that cognitive scientists have repeatedly debunked. And many teachers and parents don't kno...

It helps to watch at 2x speed. Even so, reading is much faster if you’re even reasonably good at it.

I’m a decent reader despite my dyslexia. I read at a slightly above average rate. It’s exhausting and I wish I could read faster.

All in, reading is the best way to access knowledge; so I read.

How long does it take for the sun to emit solar wind that weighs as much as the Earth?

A bit more than 21 million years.

At 1.5 million tons of solar wind a second.
